2016: A Look Back
Published at: 03/01/2017
As we enter a New Year, with all the challenges it is going to present us with, we'd like to take a look back at 2016, which was one of the biggest in Jackson & Co's history.
The year began with our move into our stylish new riverside offices which were opened for us by ex-Ipswich and England international footballer Kieron Dyer.
2016 was also the year in which we rolled out our exciting rebrand, a fresh new look for a year that promised to bring many new challenges and successes.
To coincide with our rebrand we also launched our all new website. At Jackson & Co we understand that increasingly people are searching for their next home online, whether to buy or rent, so it was vitally important to us to create an online presence to stand us head and shoulders above our competitors, showcase the many services we offer, and tell you a little more about our hardworking team and the ethos of our business.
Another vital part of our online strategy has been our investment in social media. We don't just want to rely on our website to engage online with homebuyers and sellers, we want to reach out and talk to you where many of you are often found, on Facebook and Twitter. This investment has seen us rapidly rise through the ranks to become the third most 'liked' estate agent in Colchester on Facebook with a growing army of new followers on Twitter.
Most recently we have also added instant valuations to our online services, allowing visitors to our website to get real time sales and lettings valuations of their properties.
With this investment has come substantial growth. Whilst our Lettings Department has continued to go from strength to strength our Sales Department, which Sales Director/Partner Craig Ganderton took over at the end of 2015, has experienced exponential growth. Craig brought with him his enviable experience working in the industry, along with his many contacts, enabling him to grow the department to such an extent that at the end of November we were Rightmove's top performing estate agent in Colchester, achieving more agreed sales than 63 other estate agents with offices in and around the town.
To say 2016 was an exciting year for us would be an understatement, and as we set out at the start of a new year we are excited and looking forward to all the opportunities 2017 promises to bring.
